Pastor
Michael T. Oduselu
Pastor Michael was born in Missouri to a family that had come from Lagos, Nigeria to the United States to study. While living in Lagos for a while, he attended Communion Chapel Churches under the leadership of Pastor David BenEnoch who taught the Word boldly, accurately, clearly, and without compromise. His teaching made the scripture come alive. During this time Pastor Michael began to study and read the Bible for himself as noted in Acts 17:11. He developed a hunger for the word of God, as he wanted to know more and more about the life of God. He would spend hours in his room praying and studying the scriptures. Seeking God's word had become the source of everything he needed.

At age 17, the night before his birthday, he was studying the word when the Lord spoke to him-using this scripture, Ezekiel 5:9-which says: "I will do in you that which I have never done before and will never do it again." The Lord also placed his eyes on several scriptures that supported the calling God had placed on his life. On the 4th of September 1996, the Lord spoke to him saying: "Mike, don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of scriptures, to preaching and teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers" (I Timothy 4:12-16, NIV). He promised the Lord that he would serve him until the day he dies.
After several months of personal growth, Pastor Michael attended a computer college in Lagos, Nigeria where during lunch he shared his faith with others. It started out with him speaking to a couple of people. Before he had fully realized what was going on, the classroom was filled with over seventy people in the room hearing what the Lord was saying through him. Soon after that period he returned to the United States, only to start a bible study in Chattahoochee Technical Institute, located in Marietta, Georgia. This was where he began his college career in computer science. He would later transfer to Georgia Tech where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
In the fall of 2000, he returned from a Benny Hinn Crusade where he wept before God and surrendered his will to Gods will. That experience set the stage for his decision to pursue a Master of Divinity at Oral Roberts University. At this juncture in his life, Pastor Michael had been heavily involved for seven years at Covenant Christian Ministries, located in Marietta. He operated in various roles in the church. He was a minister, an usher, the prayer leader, youth minister, and a personal care counselor. Hence, he spoke to the Senior Pastor, Pastor Fredrick Anderson about what he was impressed to do. So, on the 15th of August 2003 he began his seminary experience at Oral Roberts University, ORU. Pastor Michael says that it was also at ORU that the Lord would bring my life partner, the love of my life, and my dear friend Jeanette.
When he came to ORU in Tulsa, Oklahoma, he immediately attended Victory Christian Center. At Victory, he was given opportunities to do some of the things he did in Atlanta, Georgia. He met with Pastor Billy Joe who then introduced him to Pastor C.J. Through Pastor CJ, he was given the opportunity to preach within SOUL Youth Outreach, David L. Moss Correctional Center, and the Salvation Army. He had also been given the opportunity to preach in several church services and a chapel service at VBI (Victory Bible Institute). He received his license in ministry and ordination for the office of Pastor from Victory Fellowship of Ministers and Greenwood Christian Center.
ORU was where the Lord spoke to his heart about Destiny Christian Center. The mandate of the church was: A Church that would usher in the return of Christ and make an impact in the lives of thousands of people. The Lord spoke to him and said, "I will do in you that which I have not done before and will not to it again." The Vision of Destiny Christian Center is to develop people from all walks of life to walkout their God given potential in their area of gifting. The Vision is designed to discover, develop, and deploy leaders into their sphere of influence. This will be done by integrating these five major components: Worship, Prayer, Teaching, Fellowship, and Evangelism.
On March 25th 2007, Destiny Christian Center held its first service and has grown from service to service as the Lord adds to the Church daily. Destiny Christian Center is a place where people with hopes and dreams come together with a vision to impact their area of influence. These people come from all walks of life, but are all drawn by a new awareness of God's Love.
